JOB OPP:
Playground is seeking a New York-based executive assistant to its Joint Managing Directors. Playground is a London and New York-based film, television and theatre production company behind hit TV series such as All Creatures Great and Small and Wolf Hall, as well as the global theatre production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
FULL JOB DESCRIPTION:
The full-time position supports two remote high-level executives working across a large slate of international production and development projects. The ideal candidate must have the ability to proactively function under tight deadlines and have experience managing daily schedules/calendars across several time zones, as well as assisting with any necessary preparation for meetings. Qualified candidates must have precise, detailed-oriented organizational skills, as well as excellent communication and writing abilities. This is an in-office position, with the possibility of remote work as needed.
Looking for someone who is prepared for the rewards and challenges of working within a small team responsible for a large, active production slate. The job requires a strong work ethic; the ability to focus on and transition between fast-moving complex projects; and a passion for television and entertainment. Candidates without any prior industry experience will not be considered.
Duties will include:
• Administrative support including scheduling calls (across multiple times zones) and in person meetings, answering phones and rolling calls, arranging domestic and international travel, note-taking, arranging talent gifts and general office admin tasks.
• Filing materials, conducting project research on development and production projects as needed.
• Liaise with internal staff and productions teams at all levels.
• Assisting with occasional personal tasks such as booking reservations, theatre tickets and transport.
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum 1+ year experience at a television production company or agency.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat required.
• Must have a bachelor's degree.
